STORIA DELLA CANZONE:
i due autori scrissero questa canzone nel 1868. Il pastore Brooks rimase impressionato dalla sua visita a Betlemme tre anni prima e così nel mese di dicembre del 1868 compose il brano chiedendo all’organista Lewis Redner di comporre la musica, cosa che avvenne nella notte compresa fra il 26 ed il 27 di quel mese.

E se avevo manifestato la mia insoddisfazione riguardo il duetto virtuale di O COME,ALL YE FAITHFUL,stavolta devo dire che il lavoro fatto su O LITTLE TOWN OF BETHLEHEM è davvero bello,ispirato,riuscitissimo.Permettetemi un piccolo offtopic...non mi sono espresso sulla disgrazia che si è abbattuta sul nostro paese in questi giorni...lascio che a farlo sia il testo,semplice ma toccante di questa canzone.
